About
Tim is a father of two, Katie and Jacob. He is a Founder Advocate in the Startup organization at Google. An original board member for SKF, Tim has served as President, Vice President, Secretary, and Board Member. He has been a resident of Lenexa, KS for 25 years. Tim is originally from Indiana and attended Indiana University.
Why they're involved
In 2007, a personal experience gave me a glimpse into the impact that childhood cancer has on a family. Unlike many families in Kansas City, our experience was just a scare. However, once I learned what that stress, panic, worry feels like, I was not able to walk away with our good fortune. I knew first hand that no one really does budget for cancer. It changed me for sure. From that point forward, ignoring what these families go through was not an option. The opportunity to help families is just part of the satisfaction of being apart of SKF. Over the last decade and half, I have had the good fortune of meeting some amazing people who selflessly give their time and talent to help their neighbors. For that I'm very grateful.
